About
Hatfield Swim Club Limited is the premier swimming club in Hertfordshire and the London area, as well as currently the top club in the South of England. and one of the top 10 in the South of England.
Since 1996, the club has boasted an Olympic finalist, three British Senior Internationals, twelve Junior internationals, 3 British record holders and eight National Champions. In addition the club has had a world Masters Champion and a triple Paralympic Champion.
In 2003, Hatfield was the third best club in Britian at the National Age Group Championships and in 2004 the second best. Hatfield represented London in the 2004 Speedo National League final and finnished fifth and will again swim in the National League final in 2005.
The club currently  has swimmers in the World Class International Programmes.

Background
The club was formed in 1966 at Hatfield Swimming Pool. It’s ethos, as a roots-based club, is to serve the local community and  offer opportunities for all of its members to achieve their highest levels in a friendly and purposeful environment. Currently it meets twice a week for Club nights at the Hatfield Swim Centre, and its squads train regularly, up to twice daily and ten times a week, at the Hatfield Swim Centre and at the new pool in the Hertfordshire Sports Village.

Joining Hatfield Swimming Club
Hatfield Swimming Club admits swimmers from the age of about 8 upwards (there are no upper age limits) providing they can reach a minimum swimming standard (swim 1 length of each stroke except butterfly).  Swimmers must be of a reasonable standard already and be prepared to train and swim competitively.

Club Nights
The club meets every Monday and Friday evening at Hatfield Swim Centre from 5.30pn on Monday’s an  6:30pm on Fridays. The evening is divided into the following times:
5/6.30 to 7.30pm       Top age group swimmers
7.30 to 8.30               Younger/Club swimmers
8.30 to 9.15pm          Masters
9.15 to 10pm             Water Polo
